Hand-carved and painted with enamel paint, with cardboard, cloth and plastic. This dragon and the owl puppet are the only remaining puppets from the time when Max and Maggie ran a puppet theatre performing for children at various venues, accompanied by Stuart Riley on guitar (close friend). Some puppets eventually found their way to Spain and spawned a professional touring puppet theatre run by Paul Price who had met Max on the Art Foundation course at Manchester Polytechnic.
