Keppel Road Interior is a pencil sketch of Max’s flat in Charlton Manchester. He often did drawings of his home and still life within. He liked to show off his opulent lifestyle. The figure is his artist wife Maggie probably working on one of her own pieces.

As well as being a wonderful cartoonist, Max was fairly serious about landscapes, abstract and all other forms of creative artwork and worked in all medias. Some of his work is a little on the dark side. The cartoons demonstrated the opposite lighthearted side of Max and all is here to see.
